Almost every app displays your profile photo inside a circle — but they all crop it themselves from a square, so an off-center photo puts your face half out of frame. This tool lets you do the framing: drop in any photo, drag it around inside a live circular preview, zoom until it sits exactly right, and download the result.
You can export two ways. Circle PNG gives you a round image with genuinely transparent corners — useful for websites, email signatures, presentation slides and anywhere the image sits on a colored background. Square PNG gives you the same framing as a normal square photo, which is what most platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord) actually want you to upload — they'll apply their own circle, and because you framed it in a circle preview here, it will land perfectly. Everything runs in your browser; your photo is never uploaded. For arbitrary rectangular cuts, use the crop tool instead.

Frequently asked questions
Should I upload the circle version or the square version to social apps?
The square. Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Slack and Discord all take a square upload and round it themselves. Because you framed the shot in a circular preview here, their circle will match yours exactly. Use the circle PNG where you control the page — websites, slides, signatures.
What size should a profile picture be?
512×512 px is the sweet spot — sharp on retina displays, small enough to upload anywhere, and above the minimum for every major platform. Use 1024 if a platform displays your photo large (like a speaker page).
Do the transparent corners really stay transparent?
Yes — the circle export is a PNG with a true alpha channel, so the corners show whatever is behind them. Note that JPG can't store transparency, which is why the tool exports PNG only.
How do I get my whole head in a circle from a tall photo?
Zoom out with the slider (down to 100%, which fits the shorter side of the photo) and drag so your head is centered. If the photo is extremely tall, crop it roughly square with the crop tool first for finer control.
Is my photo private?
Completely — positioning, cropping and export all run in your browser. The photo never leaves your device.
